Blessing Empowerment of Buddha Shakyamuni and Timeless Teachings

This is a rare opportunity to recieve the powerful blessings of the founder of Buddhism, Buddha Shakyamuni, in a blissful ritual ceremony. This special weekend is a celebration of six years of Kadam Dharma in Orlando. Through the kindness of the Meditation Master Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, the empowerment will be granted by Vajrapani Resident Teacher Ricc Bishop.

This empowerment is an ancient Buddhist Tantric ritual and takes the form of lineage instruction and blissful guided meditations. During this weekend Ricc will also be giving teachings on the Kadampa Way Of Life, drawing on the special oral teachings given by Venerable Geshe Kelsang at the 2007 Spring Dharma Festival in England.

The weekend will consist of clear instruction, prayers, guided meditation, a chance to gain a deep personal experience of the Buddha Shakyamuni meditation practice, and time to enjoy the inspiring company of our Sangha (the spiritual community).  Everyone is welcome to this happy event.

The Teacher

Ricc Bishop is the Resident Teacher at Vajrapani Kadampa Buddhist Center. A long time Buddhist practitioner, he shows us how to integrate Buddha's teachings into our daily activities in a relaxed, practical, and joyful way. It is Ricc’s wish that all of Orlando will have the opportunity to develop the inner peace and wisdom made possible by practicing the teachings of Kadampa Buddhism and he is committed to making this a reality.
