Candlelight Prayers of Love and Compassion—free in-person or livestream
Friday, December 24 at 7pm-8pm
Everyone is welcome to celebrate this holiday with meditations that open the heart and bestow upon us the greatest gift we can give to ourselves and others – the gift of inner peace. Join us for this beautiful prayer practice where we generate a mind of deep compassion for all living beings, a mind of pure love.
We light candles together at the Center, and if you are joining on zoom, you can light a candle with us for world peace at home.
Kadam Ricc will guide these short prayers and we all chant the mantra of Compassion Buddha together, a compassionate wish for everyone.
Avalokiteshvara is an enlightened being who is a manifestation of all Buddhas’ compassion. By relying sincerely on Avalokiteshvara, the Buddha of Compassion, and reciting his mantra with strong faith, temporarily we will improve our realizations of all the stages of the path, especially our realization of great compassion, and ultimately we will attain supreme Buddhahood in Avalokiteshvara’s Pure Land.
This free, short holiday service is open to everyone. Some refreshments will be provided. Just drop in!
