About the Empowerment

During this special event our Resident Teacher Kadam Ricc Bishop will grant the Blessing Empowerment of White Tara, an enlightened being who bestows Long Life, Good Fortune and Wisdom Protection. We need a long life to complete our spiritual practice, we need wisdom protection to free ourselves and others from our daily pain and problems, and we need good fortune or positive energy to achieve a long-lasting experience of inner peace and happiness.

The empowerment itself takes the form of a blissful guided meditation through which we receive Buddha’s inspiring blessings.

Who is the Empowerment for?

The Empowerment is suitable for everyone including beginners! You don’t need to be a Buddhist to attend or benefit. It is especially suitable for those who have been attending the Center regularly and wish to go a little deeper and to discover more about the tantric aspects of Buddhism, where we use the power of our imagination and deeper levels of mind to accomplish powerful inner transformation.

What will happen at the Empowerment?

An empowerment, takes the form of a series of guided meditations which bestow upon us special blessings that heal our mind and awaken our potential to become pure enlightened beings.  The teacher guiding the empowerment will have engaged in weeks of retreat to prepare for guiding the meditations. An Empowerment is also a special opportunity to meet with other spiritual practitioners.

Are there any commitments I should know about?

Everything will be clearly explained during the empowerment, and there is no requirement to take any commitments. It is possible to take the empowerment simply with a good motivation to benefit ourself and be of benefit to others.

Cost 

Cost: $60 – includes lunch and morning/afternoon tea.
(The cost for our Center Monthly Members is only $50)

Timetable

9.15 – 10.00am: Registration & morning coffee, tea, light breakfast items
10.00 – 12.00pm: The Blessing Empowerment of Buddha White Tara
12.00 – 1.00pm: Lunch break – a delicious vegetarian lunch (included)
1.00 – 2.15pm: Commentary to The Yoga of White Tara
2.15 – 2.30pm Afternoon coffee, tea
2.30 – 3.30pm: Teaching and Guided Practice of the Yoga

4:00pm – 5:00pm Wishfulfilling Jewel with tsog offering
